Technical Illustration

Our experienced technical illustrators create clear, helpful illustrations that are optimized for print or online use. We have the experience and in-house resources to create all types of technical illustrations. Our illustrators create artwork from manufacturer drawings, photographs, sketches, physical products or prototypes, and customer descriptions. Artwork can be created in any size or resolution, and in full color or black and white.

Line Art

Line art has no shades of gray, so that it can be printed as cheaply as text. It consists of non-shaded or non-screened black-and-white images. Line art is not continuous-tone imagery, such as a photograph or pencil sketch. Some examples of line art are type matter, solid black-and white-logos, icons, and pen-and-ink drawings.

Exploded-Parts Diagrams

Exploded-parts diagrams show the order of assembly and/or relationships of various components of a whole. They’re commonly used in manufacturing environments, parts catalogs, assembly and maintenance manuals, and other instructional material.

Cutaways

A cutaway is a representation of something that has had the outside omitted to reveal its inner parts, allowing the viewer to have a look into an otherwise solid object. Cutaway illustrations avoid ambiguities with respect to spatial ordering, provide a sharp contrast between foreground and background objects, and facilitate a good understanding of spatial ordering.

Process-Flow Diagrams

Process-flow diagrams show the relation of major parts of a system. Creating a process-flow diagram involves creation of a flow model that illustrates and analyzes the overall flow of activities that are required for producing a product or service. Process-flow diagrams define and document basic work and data flows—as well as financial, production, and quality-management processes—to increase efficiency in your business.

Animated Illustrations

Animated illustrations can be excellent tools for creating interactive descriptions for learning or marketing material.
