Methodology

WASSER builds solutions that live within context. Our methodology is driven by a dedication to understanding your needs. You can expect WASSER to develop practical solutions for your specific environment, people, and processes.

Discovery

In the early stages of a project, you’ll meet with a WASSER project manager. Together, you’ll work toward a definition of the project that includes the following:

  • Goals
  • Business needs and requirements
  • Solution context and scope
  • Budget
  • Schedule
  • Features

Your WASSER Project Manager

From the moment that you engage WASSER for work, a WASSER project manager will be your point of contact. Our project managers are matched to their work and clients, based on experience, interests, and training. The project manager who is assigned to your project acts as your representative with specialists in various disciplines from within WASSER. Your project manager coordinates responsibilities and schedules with the entire team.

Your Team

Your WASSER team participates in the project from kickoff to delivery. Our talent pool comprises experienced, articulate, and self-directed individuals. We carefully match software developers, graphic designers, artists, vocal talent, information architects, writers, and others to projects that fit their skills.

Your Feedback

Your feedback is necessary for a successful project. The dialogue that occurs during the early stages of project work, as well as careful and regular checks along the way, is all designed to ensure that your final product is well received.

Your Context

You know what’s best for your environment. Through a strong partnership, we’ll deliver the right solution—the solution that is practical within your context.

Project Process

WASSER has developed a four-stage process to help projects move smoothly from start to finish and with as few unanticipated issues as possible.

  • Set test plan
  • Write code
  • Execute design
  • Produce project
  • Execute test plan
  • Launch
  • Postmortem
  • Identify new features

Engagement

The WASSER process begins with business development. Our director of client services works with potential clients to determine the scope and nature of the project that is under consideration. WASSER creates proposals not from set formulas, but from the input of technical and design experts, who determine accurate costs for each project. We then develop either a fixed-bid or a time-and-materials proposal that is based on both the type of project and the needs of the client. WASSER presents the client with a full pricing breakdown, which shows all the costs and time considerations that are used to calculate the proposed totals.

Discovery

As soon as an agreement has been reached, WASSER project management assembles the design and/or development team that will be used for the project. This team works with the client to develop creative briefs and functional and technical specifications—all the blueprints that are necessary to ensure the successful production of a project. At this phase, we help determine project details: new content requirements (if any), the extent of the testing plan, user-testing requirements, and other project-specific needs. The project manager leads the client through the process that will ultimately determine the final project specifications.

Design and Development

After design and/or development outlines have been created in the discovery process, WASSER developers, graphic artists, and media builders begin to produce the project. This phase is visible to the client at all times. WASSER provides not only in-person and phone-based communication, but also a password-protected client page that contains detailed listings of project schedules, deliverables, and milestones.

Deployment

After rigorous testing, the work product is launched as a Web site, printed piece, Web-based tool, fixed-media compact disc, or compiled software.
